The MPC X-Wing model kits released in 1977 were for many the first way to get your hands on one of those iconic ships. The kits were not bad but lacked some of that "crunchy detail" that really made the studio models pop.

These parts not only add that pop but also replace the flimsy plastic laser barrels with brass rod to ensure your cannons are straighter and more durable.

Since the original release these kits have been rereleased by other manufacturers from the same molds. If you don't already have one in your stash you have almost definitely come across one at a model show, on Ebay or any number of other online marketplaces.

Since you are already here why don't you go ahead and download this DIY Decal sheet absolutely free. I designed these to replace the aging stock decals that came with the kit. All you'll need to make your own is some inkjet decal paper and acrylic clear coat. I can't tell you how much depth and interest these add to your finished model and it is worth the extra effort to add them to your build.

These parts modeled by me over the course of many hours pouring over screen shots and available reference material. While I make no claims of perfect screen accuracy it is a beautifully detailed model. I have taken care to print these files and build the model myself not only to ensure that it fits well but also because I too am a scale modeler and love this hobby.
